Variable Frequency Drives
Scientechnic successfully completed the supply, testing and commissioning of the variable frequency drive system for the all new Aquaconda rides at the Tower of Poseidon, an extension to the existing Aquaventure water rides at the Atlantis.
The Aquaventure Waterpark has 42 fun-filled acres with slides that catapult visitors through shark filled lagoons, uphill water roller coasters, never ending rapid river adventures and up-close animal encounters. The new Tower of Poseidon, the latest thriller ride at the water park, is packed with never seen before heart pumping waterslides, plus the Middle East’s longest zip line circuit.
The Aquaconda ride in the Tower of Poseidon is the world’s largest waterslide, which catapults visitors on a wild ride through a dark meandering tunnel before being dropped into the largest fiber glass tube in the world enduring intense banking whilst careening back and forth.
The complete water flow along the Aquaconda rides are driven and controlled by Siemens Micromaster Series of variable frequency drives, which provides the right push and feel throughout the entire ride circuit. The supply, testing and commissioning of the entire system was done by the Industrial Stock Sales division.
