Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi is a five star hotel and the first of its kind to span a Formula 1 racetrack. Two hotel buildings on either side of a bridge are linked by a curvilinear 217m grid-shell structure that incorporates a striking illuminated steel and glass veil.

Scientechnic Lighting Solutions supplied light fittings to RDK International for the Front Of House (FOH) and landscape package for Yas Hotel. Special LED colour changing lights for the outside grid were fully supplied by Cooper along with System Integrators E:Cue, an Osram Traxon company.

Osram LED strips were used in all the cores and niches to give ambient and uniform lighting. The lights are controlled by a dimming system to create

different moods and ambience, based on the occasion.

Special ERCO track lights were used in the seafood restaurants wherein custom patterns were created with lights. Custom gobos were made to suit the ambience of the restaurant. All the lights were supplied with DALI control gears, controlled via the DALI system (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface).
