The Mobility division successfully installed and commissioned the Road Traffic Signalization package for the Dubai Tram. The project specifications demanded most stringent safety and quality standards. Scientechnic collaborated with Siemens to develop the LRT (Light Rail Transit) mode of operation which is incorporated in their latest ST950 Traffic Controller and IC4 software version 13.

Dubai Tram uses four detectors per track to detect the tram, grant priority, extend green time and release priority operation back to road vehicles. These selective vehicle detectors are installed on tram tracks at distances considering the traffic controllers constraint in adhering to safety timings such as minimum green time and inter-green times.
