The much awaited finals of Scientechnic’s Inter-division Cricket Tournament, 2017 took place on Thursday, 26th Jan. A total of 12 teams participated in this two week tournament that started on 11th January.
The 12 participating teams were PSD Tigers, Support Ninjas, Stores Strikers, PSD Office, Team ISS, Mobility Titans, Lighting Stark, BTD Warriors, AGAC – Super King, SMD Kings, PTD Eagles and Kolkata Knight Riders (ESAG HO) and in true league format they were narrowed down to the Super Six, the Final Four and then down to the two best teams. The final match was played between ‘Team ISS’ and ‘Stores Strikers. It was an exciting match with Store Strikers winning by 16 runs to lift the trophy.
Team ISS struggled with their batting and had three consecutive maiden overs. The match provided ample thrill and excitement to the employees of Scientechnic who had gathered there to support their favorite team. The winning team received their well-deserved cup from General Manager Easa F. Al Gurg, who watched the match till the end.
