Collaboration between Oxford Nanopore Technologies and National COVID Surveillance Laboratory, Abu Dhabi
Scientechnic Life Sciences and Healthcare working closely with channel partners Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) and the UAE’s Group 42 (G42) sequencing facility located in Abu Dhabi, recently facilitated a timely and significant breakthrough in COVID-19 testing, which featured in Gulf News. LamPORE assay, the new solution developed will help detect the
virus, making population scaling possible on a daily basis. The technology can also be used on extracted RNA from swabs and is being enhanced to work directly from saliva. Furthermore the method also applies in environmental sample analysis, which can help assess the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus on surfaces.
