Scientechnic announced a four-day working week and three-day weekend throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
Scientechnic LLC, part of the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group announces a four-day working week throughout the holy month of Ramadan, which is expected to commence on May 6th. Employees will be given a three-day weekend with the option of choosing either a Sunday or Thursday off. With over 700 employees from 16 nationalities, Scientechnic is one of the largest engineering solutions company in the UAE.
Scientechnic CEO, Easa F. Al Gurg says “We started this initiative last year in celebration of the Year of Zayed and apart from strengthening the spirit of solidarity within the company, at an individual level it gave everyone the opportunity to balance work with other activities – be it worship, time with family and friends, or giving back to society.
I believe that a three day weekend will give our diverse workforce the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the significance of the Holy Month.
Through this initiative, we aim to not only show appreciation to our committed staff but also thank their families for the continued support and encouragement in making Scientechnic what it is today.”
This initiative is one of the first in the UAE and has been extremely popular amongst Scientechnic staff. When asked, most commented that their loyalty towards Scientechnic and its management was strengthened even more due to a thoughtful and timely gesture such as this.
