    Easa F. Al Gurg receives Dubai Appreciation Award for Community Service on behalf of ESAG Charity Foundation

    Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, honoured the winners of the ‘Dubai Appreciation Award for Community Service’, which recognises individuals and companies that serve society through initiatives and programmes in various fields.

    The Easa Saleh Al Gurg (ESAG) Charity Foundation assists in establishing and supporting charity housing projects, orphanages, elderly homes, day-care centres, academic institutes, scientific research centres, public libraries besides providing study and research grants to students.

    Easa F. Al Gurg, CEO of the ESAG Commercial & Industrial Group received the award for the work done by the ESAG Charity Foundation. The award aims to honour those who demonstrate commitment to social responsibility, through initiatives and actions in the areas of social welfare, health, education and other fields that serve the community in Dubai. His Highness praised the efforts of the winners, and said that serving society is the key criteria of being a good citizen, which ultimately leads to a strong and cohesive society.

    The event was attended by Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Dubai, Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti.

    Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the award Lieutenant-General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim said that the award aimed to make the UAE a place to help and serve the society. He added that the award would have a positive impact on encouraging all individuals and private institutions to help Dubai to continue to provide the best in various fields. Important initiatives in the community come from different individuals, including those who were not wealthy or young, and it is vital for selfless people like them to receive appreciation for their efforts.
