R. K. Nair – Division Manager – Building Technologies – I have grown with Scientechnic and it’s been a great journey, largely made possible due to the strong and motivating leadership amongst top management.
How long have you been working at Scientechnic?
It’s been 15 years now with Scientechnic
What is your role and what are your responsibilities?
I am the Divisional Head of the Building Technologies Division. Apart from being responsible for the P & L of the division, my role requires me to facilitate smooth operations within the division and with the other divisions and departments of Scientechnic.
A quick rundown of a regular day at work in Scientechnic…..
A typical day includes meeting clients/consultants, meeting team members to strategize as well and bringing solutions to any ongoing challenges that my team may be facing.
What do you find most interesting about your job?
The complex nature of the business that we are involved in, coupled with an extremely competitive market makes my job challenging and very interesting.
What is one recent accomplishment at work that you are most proud of? Why?
I recently had the opportunity to re-structure and realign the team to face future challenges as well as adapt to changing market conditions. This in line with the organization’s vision and mission, with the objective of leveraging our core strengths and offering value to all concerned stakeholders. This is an ongoing process and one that I am proud of.
What do you like to do in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
I love to travel. Reading is also a hobby that I developed since the time I was at school and it has helped me a lot.
