Scientechnic Life Sciences, the channel partner of Oxford Nanopore Technologies in the GCC, conducted Genomics roadshows in various cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Aimed at spreading awareness on Third Generation DNA/RNA sequencing, presentations and meetings were conducted in 11 research institutes and 4 clinical laboratories in Jeddah and Riyadh, in collaboration with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) – a graduate research university aimed at inspiring discoveries to address global challenges and the Ministry of National Guard. DNA/RNA sequencing by Oxford Nanopore is accessible and accurate. Used in nearly 100 countries, for a range of biological research applications they include large scale human genomics, cancer research, microbiology, plant science and environmental research.
Nanopore sequencing is also being explored beyond research, where it has the potential to provide rapid, meaningful information in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, food and water surveillance and education. The Life Science division has been developed to inspire scientific research and enhance well-being in the MENA region by delivering cutting-edge technology, professional expertise and efficient services to analytical and life science laboratories.
