Throwing light on diabetes through an all-inclusive awareness campaign.
Awareness is the first step in the battle against diabetes and the Diabetes Awareness campaign educated people about the ways of preventing the condition and inspired them to switch to a healthy lifestyle.
To kick off the event, a healthy breakfast was served. On the menu was an array of fruits, cornflakes, yogurt and milk. A painting competition was held to give children a platform to unleash their imagination in absorbing the thought of leading a healthy life. Winnie- the-Pooh also paid a surprise visit, much to the delight of the young guests.
Exclusive stations were set up by Aster Medical Center, Al Zahara Clinic and VLCC, which gave people the opportunity to check their blood sugar, blood pressure, Body Mass Index and get consultation on living a fitter lifestyle.
Staying healthy starts with cooking healthy and a cookery competition was organized to encourage people to think of creative and healthy dishes. A Zumba class combined exercise with dance and provided a brisk workout for all.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from Scientechnic and encouraged them to take the first step towards a well-rounded lifestyle.
