The Qasr Al Watan Library is located within the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace and reflects UAE Vision 2021, which supports the knowledge economy to promote and sustain development through investment in minds and human resources. The library is a place where scholars can explore a vast collection of books and resources about the UAE’s political, social and cultural history. Its vast collection includes circa 50,000 books and a total of 483,937 titles. It also features a Digital Library collection of over 16 million items. Scientechnic Lighting Solutions was awarded the Qasr Al Watan Library project, for the supply of the unique Quintessence Lighting Fixtures from ERCO.

The Quintessence downlights are high-quality tools for Human Centric Lighting, taking into account not only the visual but also the biological effect of light on people. All the downlights are suitable for high ceiling applications and provide light that enhances the reading and writing experience of the Library visitors. The dome area of the Library has been lit with floodlights from WE-EF. Scientechnic would like to thank consultants EWAN, Architect/designer Xavier Carton, Client MIRAL and Contractor for Fitouts Arco Interiors for the opportunity to work on this prestigious project.
