Scientechnic Building Technologies with UK-based partner BPC Energy Ltd. were the preferred choice for the supply of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system for the newly completed Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Regional Headquarters, situated in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Covering 14,000-square-metres of land, the JLR HQ is a vast facility that houses a training academy, engineering testing unit and a customer relations centre. The facility also includes a training workshop and showroom that caters to the needs of the regional retailer-based customer service and sales forces. Jaguar Land Rover MENA, who are business partners with the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, with this new inclusion, aim at adding great value to their operations in the Middle East and North Africa region and achieve remarkable growth.
To match the state-of-the-art technology and equipment, and to meet the stringent requirements of JLR Global, the engineering department of Dubai Silicon Oasis and consultant Adnan Saffarani, Scientechnic supplied a customised UPS system that ensures uninterrupted operations. The most advanced online EF300X 160kVA UPS is rated at unity power factor with a battery runtime of 30 minutes. The systematised unit ensures smooth and efficient running at the facility, providing protection to mission critical systems such as IT, Security & Surveillance and Building Automation. After completion of the project, the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority awarded Scientechnic Building Technologies division the UPS Annual Maintenance Contract for the facility.
