In conversation with Christine Elias, Design Manager at Horton Interiors, on "what determines the choice of light temperature for any given setting"
Warm or cold? What determines your choice of light temperature for any given setting?
Everybody has a different ‘language’ on light. We received an insight on lighting temperature choices from leading Architect Christine Elias, Design Manager at Horton Interiors. Here’s what Christine had to say:
“Lighting has become not only a functional element, but also an
aesthetical element that plays a huge part in our designs.
Specifically the color temperature, whether cold or warm, has a huge impact on the space and the people living and working within this space. The ambience and the mood is affected by which color temperature is selected. Wrong selection will lead to mismatch of the ambient settings. Warm colors bring peace and comfort while cold colors bring energy and focus that's needed.”
