From a humble beginning in 1924 at the YMCA in Santa Ana, California, founded by Mr. Ralph C. Smedley, Toastmasters International has grown to become a world leader in helping people become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience. The nonprofit organization now has nearly 250,000 members in more than 12,500 clubs in 106 countries, offering proven and enjoyable ways to practice and hone oral communication and leadership skills.
Toastmasters International is the leading movement devoted to making effective oral communication a worldwide reality. The mission of a Toastmasters Club is help people learn the arts of speaking, listening, and thinking – vital skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership potential, foster human understanding, and contribute to the betterment of mankind.
Scientechnic by foreseeing the same has taken this initiative to give the maximum to its employees to enable their personal development, which in turn would develop a better work environment within and then would naturally enhance the fascia of Scientechnic to the world outside.

Most Toastmasters Club meetings are a 1 or 2 hour session, which includes a minimum of 20 people, who meet weekly or once in two weeks on a regular basis. The participants practice and learn oral communication and leadership skills by filling in a meeting role, ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one, to serving as timer, evaluator or grammarian and also by hosting the meeting in front an audience.
There is no instructor; instead, each speech and meeting is analyzed and critiqued by a member in a positive manner, focusing on what was done right and what could be improved.
Just by completing its 6th meeting on 21st October 2009, the Scientechnic Toastmasters club is well on its way by setting an enjoyable and learning atmosphere for its members, guests and in turn creating a very good working environment within the company.
